Personal Hospitality Expert - Reservation Sales

About the role

The Greenbrier Hotel in White Sulphur Springs is hiring a Personal Hospitality Expert within its Reservation Sales department. The main goal is to capture as many reservations as possible by applying effective selling techniques. The ideal candidate is courteous, self-motivated and detail-oriented.

Key responsibilities

• Sell future reservations to guests and follow up on inquiry leads for second-chance bookings
• Answer telephone calls and emails clearly and professionally
• Maintain profiles of potential and current guests
• Help guests with questions about their existing reservations
• Offer concierge-style information on local restaurants and entertainment
• Manage daily correspondence and operational tasks to exceed customer expectations and grow the customer base

Required profile

• At least two years of related experience or training in reservations or hospitality; candidates with a strong sales background outside hospitality will also be considered
• Excellent verbal and written communication, telephone etiquette and negotiation skills
• Ability to read and interpret business documents, write reports and correspondence, and resolve conflicts positively
• Positive, upbeat attitude and desire to join a fast-paced, high-growth business

Required skills

• MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); NAVIS applications and software knowledge is a plus
• Narrowcast and Dashboard knowledge preferred
• Quick typing and accurate calculation of figures such as discounts, commissions and percentages
