Per Diem Float Pharmacist

About the role

Genoa Healthcare, a pharmacy care services company within Optum and UnitedHealth Group, is seeking a Per Diem Float Pharmacist to process prescriptions. The position is onsite and floats between pharmacies in Brooklyn, Queens and Long Island. Per Diem Pharmacists are temporary employees working on an intermittent basis.

Key responsibilities

• Distribute drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners
• Provide information to customers about medications and their use
• Focus on a high level of customer service
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws of the applicable State Board of Pharmacy
• Administer immunizations as allowed by State Boards of Pharmacy
• Perform any other usual and customary pharmacy duties

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD
• Current pharmacist license in the state of New York
• Certified immunizer, or willing to become one within three months of hire
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
• Availability Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with no nights, weekends or holidays

• Hourly pay ranging from $44.00 to $79.00, depending on factors such as local labor market, education, experience and certifications
