Per Diem Dietician (Part‑Time)

About the role

The Executive Health Department at the University of Miami is seeking a Per Diem Dietician to provide personalized nutrition care across its Miami and Palm Beach locations. You will work directly with patients to assess nutritional needs, develop tailored eating plans, and support long‑term health goals.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and create individualized diet plans.
• Deliver educational presentations and write progress reports for patients.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to recommend improvements to patient care.
• Stay current with nutrition science and integrate new findings into practice.
• Manage food purchasing, budgeting, and appointment scheduling.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition, dietetics, or a related field.
• Relevant certification and at least one year of professional experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle stressful situations with professional composure.

Required skills

• Knowledge of weight‑loss medications.
• Expertise in low‑carbohydrate, keto, gluten‑free, intermittent fasting, and paleolithic diets.
• Proficiency in nutrition assessment and patient education.
