People Operations Manager

About the role

Karbon is seeking a People Operations Manager to own and scale the operational backbone of hiring, onboarding, and employee support across six countries. Reporting to the VP of People, you will design AI‑driven workflows that let a lean People team operate at the efficiency of a much larger organization.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and continuously improve an end‑to‑end People Ops and Talent Acquisition stack powered by AI agents.
• Design and deploy AI agents for routine tasks such as onboarding orchestration, compliance documentation, offer‑letter generation, interview scheduling, and tier‑1 employee queries.
• Build agentic checks that monitor multi‑country HR compliance, flag risks, and surface regulatory changes without manual tracking.
• Create real‑time dashboards, hiring funnel insights, and operational health metrics for People leadership.
• Collaborate with TA and Benefits teams to embed forecasting, reporting, and data integrity into the operational engine.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading People Operations or HR Ops at a fast‑growing, multi‑country organization.
• Strong instinct for automating manual processes and assigning ownership to AI agents.
• Deep understanding of multi‑country HR compliance requirements.
• Ability to think strategically about workflow design while staying hands‑on with execution.

Required skills

• Experience designing and managing AI‑enabled workflows or automation platforms.
• Knowledge of HR compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
• Familiarity with talent acquisition metrics, reporting, and analytics.
