Pediatric Physician – Full‑Time in Van Nuys

About the role

The Pediatric Physician will deliver professional, compassionate medical care to children and their families in our Van Nuys clinic. This full‑time position reports to the Medical Director of Pediatrics and includes clinical, educational, and supervisory duties.

Key responsibilities

• Provide routine and acute care to patients aged 0‑21, including histories, physical exams, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow‑up.
• Document all encounters accurately, review lab and imaging results, and arrange appropriate referrals.
• Deliver preventive services such as USPSTF screenings, family‑planning counseling, and health education.
• Respond to pharmacy calls, provider inquiries, and patient questions when nursing staff are unavailable.
• Participate in staff training, provider meetings, chart reviews, and quality‑assurance activities.
• Serve as backup for the Nursing Director and Medical Director, including after‑hours telephone coverage.

Required profile

• Current California medical license and DEA registration.
• Completion of a pediatrics residency; Board‑eligible or Board‑certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.
• USMLE Steps 1‑3 passed for foreign medical graduates.
• Fluent written and verbal communication in English; Spanish proficiency preferred.
• Ability to lead clinic operations and maintain effective relationships with staff and the community.
