Medical Scribe

About the role

The Medical Scribe will work closely with physicians to ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters using the Epic EHR system. This onsite position supports efficient clinic workflow and upholds the organization’s core values.

Key responsibilities

• Assist providers by documenting patient visits in real time within the Epic electronic health record.
• Transcribe medical information, lab results, and screening procedures accurately.
• Communicate professionally with patients and physicians to clarify information and anticipate needs.
• Perform clerical duties, including charting, filing, and translation assistance when required.
• Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and maintain confidentiality of patient data.

Required profile

• Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency.
• Previous outpatient scribing experience.
• High school diploma or GED; additional coursework in medical terminology preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and ability to distinguish diagnoses.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Epic EHR system.
• Accurate transcription and documentation of patient care.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
