About the role
Join Lehigh Valley Health Network as a Patient Transporter, providing safe and timely movement of patients between clinical units and diagnostic areas. This night shift position supports patient throughput and hospital capacity initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Transport patients using wheelchairs, stretchers, or beds, handling equipment such as oxygen tanks and IV pumps.
- Coordinate transport activities, respond to alerts, and manage equipment inventory.
- Use transport software to schedule and document patient moves.
- Handle portable oxygen cylinders safely and ensure proper storage.
Required profile
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to provide high‑level customer service with a compassionate attitude.
- Physical ability to lift and carry 40‑50 lb, stand and walk 8‑10 miles per shift.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 180 days.
Required skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- American Heart Association (AHA) certification.
