Patient Coordinator – Medical Receptionist

About the role

Eye Care Partners is seeking a Patient Coordinator to serve as the first point of contact for patients at Sabates Eye Centers in Kansas City. You will ensure a smooth check‑in and check‑out experience while supporting clinical staff and maintaining high standards of customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate patient flow and manage office schedules.
• Verify medical and vision insurance information.
• Answer phone calls, emails, and in‑person inquiries promptly and courteously.
• Collect payments, reconcile daily cash drawers, and perform end‑of‑day accounting.
• Maintain a clean and organized reception area.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Favorable background check result.
• Reliable transportation for multiple locations.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including possible Saturdays.
• Commitment to work over 40 hours per week as needed.

Required skills

• Basic computer skills.
• Strong customer service abilities.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, doctors, and staff.
