Patient Care Technician – Weekend

About the role

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) provides direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of licensed clinical team members on weekend night shifts. The role supports telehealth encounters and helps maintain a safe, patient‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform validated patient care activities, respond to call lights, and conduct patient rounds as assigned.
• Assist with telehealth examinations, operating devices such as electronic stethoscopes, video‑conferencing equipment, and software platforms (e.g., Epic, Vidyo).
• Maintain supplies and equipment, promote safety, and may act as a virtual safety associate when needed.

Required profile

• High School Diploma/GED and knowledge of medical terminology and patient care needs.
• Ability to complete delegated tasks, understand patient safety risks, and communicate effectively with diverse patients and families.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and successful completion of LVHN’s inexperienced technical partner course.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association.
• Use of electronic stethoscope and other peripheral devices for virtual exams.
• Familiarity with telehealth software such as Epic and Vidyo.
