Patient Care Partner – Night Shift – Part‑Time – Rehab Unit

About the role

Join Lehigh Valley Health Network as a Patient Care Partner on the night shift in the Rehab Unit, providing direct patient care and support services in a fast‑paced, patient‑centered environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, treatments, and diagnostic studies as directed by a Registered Nurse.
• Communicate observations, changes, or problems promptly to the RN.
• Use effective verbal and non‑verbal communication with patients, families, staff, and colleagues.
• Participate in unit team activities to support patient experience goals and hospital objectives.
• Perform validated technical skills specific to the clinical specialty and unit practice.
• Complete quality control checks on unit equipment and conduct patient rounds as assigned.

Required profile

• High School Diploma/GED with less than 1 year of experience, or successful completion of LVHN's inexperienced technical partner course.
• Ability to follow directions, organize and prioritize assignments, and provide accurate reports.
• Physical ability to lift and carry 40‑50 lb, stand/walk continuously, and perform patient transfers.
• Basic computer skills and ability to obtain American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification within 30 days.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (state of Pennsylvania).
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Completion of LVHN’s technical partner training program.
