Patient Care Partner

About the role

The Patient Care Partner provides direct patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse, supporting treatments, diagnostic studies, and overall patient needs within a patient‑family centered environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver care and related activities for designated patients, following established policies and procedures.
• Observe patients, communicate findings or changes promptly to the RN, and respond to call lights or pages.
• Participate in unit team activities, including orientation of new staff and quality control checks on equipment.
• Utilize technology to enhance care delivery and perform validated technical skills specific to the unit.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Six months recent experience in direct patient care or successful completion of LVHN's technical partner course.
• Ability to follow directions, organize and prioritize assignments, and maintain unit‑specific competencies.
• Basic computer skills and BLS certification (American Heart Association) within 180 days.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Basic computer proficiency.
