Patient Care Partner – Day Shift – 72 Hours Bi‑Weekly

About the role

Provide direct patient care, including treatments and diagnostic studies, under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Work as part of a care delivery team using patient‑centered communication.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver care to designated patients, following unit policies and procedures.
• Observe and report patient condition changes to the RN promptly.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, staff, and colleagues.
• Support unit and hospital goals, participate in new staff orientation, and perform validated technical skills.
• Utilize technology for care delivery and complete equipment quality checks.
• Conduct patient rounds, anticipate needs, and respond to call lights quickly.

Required profile

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Less than 1 year of recent direct patient care experience or completion of LVHN’s inexperienced technical partner course.
• Ability to follow directions, organize and prioritize assignments, and maintain unit‑specific competencies.
• Basic computer skills and ability to lift/carry 40‑50 lb.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification (Pennsylvania) within 30 days of hire.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
