About the role
The Patient Care Nursing Assistant (PCNA) works under RN supervision to provide basic patient care across various Cleveland Clinic Family Health Centers.
Key responsibilities
- Take vital signs, weight, and assist with personal care.
- Perform point‑of‑care testing, dressing changes, and apply external monitoring devices.
- Remove urinary Foley catheters and report abnormal findings to the RN.
- Maintain clean and orderly patient rooms.
Required profile
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Active enrollment in an accredited nursing school in good standing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or Red Cross).
- Completion of at least one clinical rotation as part of the nursing program.
Required skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification (preferred).
