Pharmacy Manager – Ambulatory

About the role

The Pharmacy Manager will lead operations at the Independence Family Health Center ambulatory pharmacy, a high‑volume outpatient pharmacy serving 300‑400 prescriptions daily. This full‑time position oversees workflow, staffing, and quality while supporting patient care across the health center.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise pharmacists, technicians and float pool staff, ensuring accurate and timely prescription processing.
• Monitor operational performance, quality metrics, patient satisfaction and regulatory compliance.
• Manage inventory, purchasing, medication safety initiatives and financial stewardship.
• Partner with physicians, nurses and operational leaders to advance patient care and lead process‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an ACPE‑accredited program.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (or eligibility within 90 days).
• Four years of pharmacy experience with at least one year of leadership experience, or completion of a HSPAL PGY2 residency.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and immunization administration training.
