Medical Assistant – Primary Care Virtual Visits

About the role

Join Cleveland Clinic’s Independence Family Health Center, a patient‑friendly facility offering primary, express and specialty care. As a Medical Assistant you will help create a welcoming environment for patients, families and visitors while supporting clinical and administrative teams. You will work collaboratively on virtual primary‑care visits, medication management and patient monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with screenings, treatments, specimen collection, testing and documentation of patient care.
• Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition.
• Maintain equipment, medical supplies and examination areas.
• Perform administrative duties such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry and patient registration.

Required profile

• Graduate of an approved medical assisting program or equivalent military training (Hospital Corpsman, Combat Medic, Medical Service Technician).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or obtain during new‑hire period).
• Completion of a clinical externship or extensive clinical experience.
• Preferred: Medical Assisting certification and successful completion of a Cleveland Clinic externship.
