About the role

Our client, a boutique hotel in Atlanta, is seeking a talented and dependable Pastry Cook for an initial 90‑day assignment. The role offers the potential to become a full‑time position based on performance and business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and execute pastries, desserts, baked goods, and other menu components according to established recipes and standards.
• Assist with daily pastry production, preparation, plating, and presentation while maintaining consistency in quality, flavor, portioning, and presentation.
• Support restaurant, banquet, and special‑event pastry needs, and properly store, rotate, label, and handle ingredients and finished products.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation, follow all food safety and sanitation procedures, and assist with inventory management.
• Collaborate with the culinary team during preparation and service, contributing to a positive, professional, and team‑oriented kitchen culture.

Required profile

• Previous pastry, baking, or culinary experience in a restaurant, hotel, bakery, or similar professional kitchen environment.
• Strong attention to detail, pride in presentation, and solid understanding of basic pastry and baking techniques.
• Ability to follow recipes, maintain consistency, and work reliably in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.
• Reliable, punctual, organized, team‑oriented, and able to take direction while also working independently.
• Flexibility to work a hospitality schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
