Sales and Events Manager

About the role

The client, a hospitality ownership group, seeks an experienced Sales and Events Manager for a boutique lifestyle hotel in Atlanta. The role focuses on driving small‑group and event business, including room blocks of up to 10 rooms and catering without a guestrooms component.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, prospect, and secure new small‑group, catering, and event business across multiple market segments.
• Develop and grow existing accounts while building long‑term client relationships.
• Manage the full sales cycle from inquiry through proposal, negotiation, contracting, and turnover.
• Conduct property tours and site inspections for prospective clients and event partners.
• Maintain an active pipeline and accurate forecasting in the hotel’s sales systems.
• Collaborate with operations, revenue management, and food & beverage teams to maximize revenue.

Required profile

• Previous hotel sales experience, preferably in boutique, lifestyle, independent, or full‑service hotels.
• Proven ability to prospect new business and grow existing accounts.
• Strong relationship‑building, negotiation, and closing skills with a client‑focused approach.
• Knowledge of the Atlanta hospitality, corporate, entertainment, and events market is highly desirable.
• Self‑motivated, goal‑oriented, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.

Required skills

• Experience with hotel sales, CRM, and property‑management systems.
