About the role
The Department of Anthropology at the University of Miami is seeking qualified individuals for part‑time teaching assignments. Appointees may teach up to two undergraduate courses per semester and will join departmental activities.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver undergraduate anthropology courses, including lectures, discussions, and assessments.
- Prepare course materials, syllabi, and grading criteria.
- Participate in departmental meetings, events, and curriculum development.
- Maintain academic standards and provide mentorship to students.
Required profile
- Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Anthropology or a closely related discipline, completed by the start date.
- At least one year of college‑level teaching experience is preferred.
- Ability to teach up to two courses per semester on an intermittent, part‑time basis.
