Part‑Time Courier – Griffin Campus

About the role

This part‑time courier position supports the Griffin campus of Southern Crescent Technical College by transporting mail, packages and other materials across the campus and nearby locations.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a Class C motor vehicle to deliver and collect mail, packages, and supplies.
• Load and unload items safely, report any accidents or breakdowns, and arrange towing or alternate transport when needed.
• Perform routine vehicle checks (fuel, oil, battery) and record mileage, fuel consumption and maintenance needs.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Class C Georgia motor vehicle operator’s license.
• Ability to follow traffic laws and conduct pre‑trip safety inspections.

Required skills

• Basic computer proficiency for email and online training.
• Operation of two‑way radio or cellular telephone for communication.
• Recognition of vehicle defects that could affect safety.
