Part‑Time Chemotherapy/Infusion RN with $8/hr Specialty Pay

About the role

The Chemotherapy/Infusion RN provides infusion therapy for chemotherapy and other treatments in an ambulatory setting, collaborating with physicians and the care team to ensure safe and effective patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy, hydration, blood products and other medications following protocols and infusion policies.
• Perform venipuncture, access portacaths and central line catheters, and manage extravasation events.
• Assess patients, modify medication doses, calculate dosages, and communicate with physicians regarding treatment plans.
• Document assessments, teaching, and medication administration; ensure accurate nursing charges and pre‑authorizations.
• Provide education to patients, families and staff on oncology therapies and infusion procedures.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred) with a current Montana RN license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications; CRNI and OCN certifications preferred.
• Minimum three years of nursing experience, preferably in oncology.
• Ability to maintain a clean work environment and follow OSHA and infection‑control guidelines.

Required skills

• Ambulatory infusion pump operation and maintenance.
• Venipuncture, portacath and central line access.
• Extravasation assessment and management.
• Chemotherapy and biotherapy administration.
• OSHA compliance for handling cytotoxic agents.
• Basic Windows computer and keyboarding skills.
