Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer - Hospital Patrol

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a part-time unarmed security officer in Cleveland, Ohio, to protect clients in healthcare and other industries. The officer monitors and patrols assigned areas, keeps a visible presence to deter incidents and supports a welcoming environment for patients, visitors and staff. The schedule is day shifts on Monday, Wednesday and Sunday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff and vendors by carrying out security procedures, site policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly to incidents, medical emergencies and critical situations, and communicate relevant information to site personnel and first responders.
• Carry out regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances and perimeters, documenting observations and reporting concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, patient transport routes and site access procedures.
• Complete activity logs, incident reports and shift documentation as required.

Required profile

• At least 18 years old for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Hospital vaccination requirements met.
• Subject to a background investigation and a drug screen to the extent permitted by law; licensing may be required before employment.

Preferred qualifications

• CPR certification.
• Customer service experience.
