Part-Time Hospital Patrol Security Officer

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a part-time Security Officer (Hospital Patrol Specialist) in Cleveland, OH. As an unarmed patrol professional at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, keep a visible presence to help deter incidents and provide customer service to patients, visitors and staff. The schedule is day time, Monday and Thursday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff and vendors by carrying out security procedures, location-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies and other critical situations calmly and professionally, following established protocols and notifying the right people.
• Carry out regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, entrances and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity and spot security concerns.
• Monitor access points, direct visitors, manage access in restricted areas and report unusual activity.
• Write clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations and patrol activities and share them with Allied Universal leadership and location contacts.

Required profile

• At least 18 years old for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must meet hospital vaccine requirements and be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
• Customer service experience preferred; CPR certification preferred.
• A valid driver's license is required only for driving positions.
• Applicants undergo a background investigation and a drug screen to the extent permitted by law; licensing may be required before employment.
