Full-Time Healthcare Clinic Patrol Security Officer

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring an unarmed Security Officer for a healthcare clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. The officer monitors and patrols assigned areas, keeps a visible presence to deter security incidents, helps with patient and visitor interactions and provides professional customer service. The position is full time, day shift, Monday through Sunday, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff and vendors by following security procedures, site policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies and critical situations, reporting observations to the right personnel.
• Carry out regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, giving directions and assistance while staying professional.
• Document incidents, observations and patrol activity and report security concerns according to site procedures.

Required profile

• At least 18 years old for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to restrain individuals; must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Customer service experience preferred; CPR certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license required only for driving positions.
• Background investigation and drug screen as conditions of employment; licensing may be required depending on state or local law.
