Part-time Lecturer – Undergraduate Nutrition Courses

About the role

The School of Nursing and Health Studies at the University of Miami seeks a part‑time temporary lecturer to teach undergraduate nutrition courses. You will deliver instruction on general nutrition, health‑promotion and disease‑prevention nutrition, and nutrition across the lifespan in a student‑centered environment.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate nutrition courses covering core topics and evidence‑based practice.
• Advise and mentor students on academic and professional matters.
• Evaluate student performance through assignments, exams, and practical activities.
• Develop and update course materials, including syllabi and instructional resources.
• Contribute to curriculum development and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or higher in Nutrition, Dietetics, Public Health, or a related field.
• Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential, or eligibility to obtain one.
• Demonstrated knowledge of current nutritional science and dietary guidelines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and instructional technology.
