About the role
The Department of Finance at the Miami Herbert School of Business is seeking a part‑time lecturer to teach undergraduate and graduate finance courses. The appointment is non‑tenured and offers flexible teaching loads of up to eight credit hours per semester.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver one to two finance courses per semester (e.g., fundamentals of finance, corporate finance, financial management).
- Prepare syllabi, lecture materials, and assessments aligned with university standards.
- Evaluate student performance and provide timely feedback.
- Maintain office hours and be available for student consultation.
Required profile
- Terminal degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in finance or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching undergraduate and graduate students.
- Ability to teach core finance subjects such as corporate finance and financial management.
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation is a plus.
Required skills
- Strong pedagogical skills for higher‑education finance instruction.
