Part-Time Home Health LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse)

About the role

Amedisys, part of the Optum family of businesses, offers home health, hospice and community-based services. As a part-time Home Health LPN (or LVN), you work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse providing skilled nursing care to patients in their homes. The position is advertised in Snow Hill, North Carolina.

Key responsibilities

• Verify the plan of care with the RN before each visit
• Collaborate with the physician and RN to meet patient needs and notify them promptly of any change in condition
• Teach patients and caregivers self-care techniques
• Check vital signs and review medications, performing medication reconciliation at each visit
• Perform specialized procedures ordered by the physician, such as a foley catheter change
• Prepare equipment and materials for treatments using aseptic technique
• Complete documentation timely and accurately

Required profile

• Current LPN license for the state(s) of assignment
• Current CPR certification
• 1+ year of LPN or LVN experience
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and liability insurance

What we offer

• Pay of $26.86-$40.30 per visit point and $22.39-$33.58 hourly, with an annual total cash target of $46,564-$69,846 (based on full-time hours)
