Part-Time Armed Airport Patrol Officer (Wed/Sun)

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a part-time Armed Patrol Officer (Law Enforcement Officer) for its armed airport post in Lihue, Hawaii. The officer conducts routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintains a visible presence to deter incidents, responds to security concerns and provides customer service to travelers and staff. The position is scheduled Wednesdays and Sundays from 5:00 am to 2:00 pm, at $38 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out security procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and solve problems
• Exercise sound judgment and make immediate decisions under stress
• Supervise contractor personnel and work with airport management, tenants, other law enforcement agencies and the public
• Communicate clearly in English, verbally and in writing

Required profile

• At least 2 years of professional U.S. law enforcement experience after graduating from a certified academy (federal, state or county)
• Experience in de-escalation, incident report writing, patrolling high-traffic areas and communication
• Graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program, with credentials provided on application
• Valid driver's license, 22+ years old, fluent English speaker
• No felony convictions, no domestic violence convictions, no record of moral turpitude or untruthfulness
• Good physical health, able to stand and walk for a full shift, lift up to 25 lbs and pass a background check and drug tests
