Part-Time Airport Security Officer (Tues/Sat)

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer for a government airport in Lihue, Hawaii. The position covers Tuesday and Saturday shifts from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with a pay rate of $26.50 per hour. Officers provide a visible presence to deter security incidents, give customer service to travelers, employees and visitors, and document observations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees and contractors while carrying out security procedures, site policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, suspicious activity and critical situations, notifying airport personnel and emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminals, public areas, parking facilities, access points and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and report policy violations, hazards and unusual conditions.
• Prepare accurate activity logs and incident reports and share relevant information with supervisors.

Required profile

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license (required for driving positions only).
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Fluent reading, writing and speaking of English.
• Ability to pass a background check, physical and drug screening, and a DOT Pass and ID office background check.
• Preferred: comfort using a computer or tablet and ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
