Part-Time Airport Security Officer (Tues/Fri/Sat)

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a part-time Unarmed Security Officer for a government airport in Lihue, Hawaii. The schedule is Tuesday, Friday and Saturday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Officers monitor and patrol assigned areas, keep a visible presence to deter security incidents, and provide courteous assistance to travelers, visitors and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees and airport partners while following site procedures and emergency response protocols.
• Carry out regular and random unarmed patrols of airport areas, terminals, parking facilities, access points and perimeters, reporting unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and support controlled entry in line with airport rules and site requirements.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms and critical situations, escalating concerns as needed.
• Write clear reports of patrols, incidents, observations and security activities.

Required profile

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license (required for driving positions only).
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Fluent reading, writing and speaking of English.
• Ability to pass a background check, physical and drug screening, including the DOT Pass and ID office.
• Preferred: a Guard Card or license, customer service experience, computer/tablet use, and ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
