Part-Time Airport Security Officer (Monday/Friday)

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer for its airport location in Lihue, Hawaii. The position covers Monday and Friday shifts from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with a pay rate of $26.50 per hour. Officers monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents and support a welcoming experience for travelers, employees and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees and other stakeholders by following site-specific procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, suspicious activity and critical situations calmly and professionally, notifying airport personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Carry out regular and random unarmed patrols of terminal areas, public access points, parking facilities, perimeter areas and other assigned locations.
• Monitor access points and observe pedestrian and vehicle activity, reporting unusual conditions, policy violations and maintenance concerns.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs, incident documentation and shift communications in line with site policies.

Required profile

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license (required for driving positions only).
• Age 18 or older; 21+ for armed roles.
• Fluent reading, writing and speaking of English.
• Ability to pass a background check, physical and drug screening, and to pass the DOT Pass and ID office background check.
• Lifting up to 20 pounds and comfort with a computer or tablet are preferred.
