Paramedic – Life Support Team

About the role

Join the Life Support Team at Medina Hospital, a Magnet‑recognized facility within the Cleveland Clinic Health System. As a Paramedic you will deliver immediate, high‑quality emergency medical care to patients in critical condition, both on‑site and during transport.

Key responsibilities

• Provide rapid medical assessment and treatment to injured or ill patients in the community and during ambulance transport.
• Navigate ambulances to emergency scenes, maintain equipment, restock supplies, and keep vehicles clean.
• Administer life‑support procedures, decontamination protocols, fluid and drug therapy, obtain EKG readings, and monitor vital signs according to EMS protocols.
• Communicate patient status to hospital medical personnel, document observations, and ensure proper hand‑off upon arrival.

Required profile

• Completion of an accredited EMS‑Paramedic training program and current Ohio EMTP licensure.
• Three years of EMT‑P experience (or equivalent combination of EMT‑P and EMT experience).
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS.
• Completion of a USDOT‑approved EVOC course within six months of hire and a valid Ohio driver’s license.
