Paralegal - e-Discovery Lab

About the role

CACI is seeking a Paralegal to assist the LSB e-discovery lab for the Office of Immigration Litigation. The selected paralegal works under the direction of the LPM or PM. The position is full time, regular, with no travel required, and covers the Service Contract Act.

Key responsibilities

• Compile, prepare and summarize materials for attorneys' discovery, motions, briefs and other legal documents, summarize depositions and transcripts, and maintain case files.
• Perform simple legal research and index, track and control document discovery, including documents produced and received.
• Index, track exhibits and other materials at depositions and trial, and prepare exhibit cross-references.
• Assist attorneys in the courtroom.
• Review documents for relevance and privilege according to established guidelines.
• Compile documents for FOIA, production requests, Congressional inquiries and similar work.

Required profile

• Paralegal certificate, JD, or enrollment in an ABA-accredited law school with at least one year of study.
• At least one year of litigation paralegal experience; trial experience is very helpful.
• Basic legal knowledge, including standard legal citation, and experience with legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw.
• Familiarity with ESI tools and eDiscovery procedures and resources.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to deliver high-quality work under pressure.
• US citizenship required; DOJ MBI clearance must be obtainable.
