About the role

The Pain Management RN provides leadership in patient care using the nursing process, adhering to the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code, and Scope & Standards of Practice. This role supports cultural diversity, quality outcomes, and strategic goals within the unit.

Key responsibilities

  • Utilize the nursing process to deliver patient care and assess learning needs.
  • Delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members.
  • Communicate and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Adapt communication and care approaches to respect patient privacy and cultural diversity.
  • Participate in unit and department strategic initiatives and quality improvement activities.

Required profile

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • Current RN license in the state of practice.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Good organizational, time‑management, and judgment skills.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities and ability to work independently.
