Outside Sales Representative – Diesel Engine & Power Generation

About the role

This position focuses on regional sales for engineered systems, products, and services within the marine and power generation markets. The representative will build a robust pipeline, engage new and existing clients, and deliver tailored solutions to meet customer needs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and close business opportunities in marine and power generation sectors.
• Maintain deep market knowledge, evaluate inquiries, and keep accurate opportunity records.
• Deliver technical sales presentations and demonstrations.
• Participate in trade shows and conferences to represent the company.
• Manage customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and address feedback.

Required profile

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Experience in marine and/or power generation markets, preferably with controls or automation background.
• Proven track record in outside sales with ability to identify and capture opportunities.
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 50‑60%.
• Fluent English; additional languages a plus.

Required skills

• Knowledge of diesel engines, turbochargers, and filtration equipment.
• Familiarity with Woodward products and automation/control systems.
• Understanding of ISO9001:2015 standards.
