Operations Manager - Offshore Energy

About the role

Motive Offshore Group delivers equipment rental, manufacturing and testing, inspection and certification (TIC) services across the global energy industry. It is looking for an Operations Manager for Motive Offshore LLC in Houston, Texas, a full-time position. The manager ensures that projects and operations are planned and executed safely and to the highest standards, with client schedules met and specifications fulfilled, and works to improve performance and efficiency across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Embed the group's People, Planet and Product values in day-to-day decisions and lead performance management of the Operations team
• Report regularly to the Regional Director on performance, resources, risks and key metrics, and attend client meetings
• Lead recruitment and retention of operational staff and support the Sales team when needed
• Provide operational leadership across Rentals and TIC activities, coordinating resources, equipment and facilities to meet project needs
• Plan, schedule and review workload and manpower, and ensure equipment is maintained, tested and certified and ready for mobilisation
• Manage the LLC base and facilities, oversee asset readiness and track equipment and personnel usage
• Support CAPEX requests, purchase materials and services within delegation of authority, and track and report HSEQ KPIs monthly
• Control operational expenditure, ensure safe systems of work and liaise with third parties on compliance

Required profile

• Proven operational management experience in offshore services, subsea, equipment rental or a related energy sector
• Strong leadership and people management ability, with experience developing teams
• Strong understanding of offshore operations, equipment readiness, mobilisation and resource planning
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple, changing priorities
