OluKai Retail Lead - Irvine Spectrum

About the role

As the OluKai Retail Lead (Huaka'i, meaning to lead), you welcome customers into the store and deliver a remarkable brand experience. This is a part-time position of 29 hours or less per week, based at the Irvine Spectrum location.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for guests and build immediate rapport with new customers
• Open and close the store to standard, manage store keys and security measures
• Be the Manager on Duty when needed and coach retail associates
• Enforce company policies, procedures and directives, and maintain visual standards and store cleanliness
• Help with back-of-house duties such as receiving, processing product and restocking
• Solve customer problems independently while staying calm under pressure
• Share the brand's story, its product design inspirations and partnerships, and act as a brand ambassador in local events and giveback programs

Required profile

• At least 1 year of retail or customer service experience, preferably in a leadership or key-holder role
• Available for at least three shifts of 4-8 hours each per week
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, independent work ethic and good time management
• Able to lift, carry or move objects up to 30 lbs

Required skills

• Knowledge of OluKai product lines and current fashion trends
• POS best practices
• Ability to hit company goals and plans
