VP & General Manager, Concerts & Promoter Events
learfield · Irvine
Job description
About the role
Learfield's Paciolan unit is looking for a single, dedicated leader to own its concerts and promoter events business end-to-end, across arenas, college athletics stadiums and performing arts centers. The role brings structure and focus to a growing, long-standing business and builds the team, operating model and cross-community coordination needed to scale it. It is a newly created role with an active, growing book of business.
Key responsibilities
- Own the concerts and promoter events P&L, go-to-market strategy and growth plan.
- Help clients secure more concerts and promoter events by connecting them with promoters and touring artists.
- Partner with clients to improve profitability through dynamic pricing, settlement structures, ancillary revenue and deal terms.
- Improve the fan experience: presale and onsale execution, day-of operations, VIP and hospitality offerings, and post-event engagement.
- Secure and manage partnerships with promoters, booking agencies, artist management firms and other industry partners.
- Develop a strategy for concerts across the Learfield enterprise and represent Paciolan at industry conferences such as Pollstar and IEBA.
- Shape the product roadmap by translating client needs into requirements for product and engineering teams.
- Elevate concerts as a strategic priority internally and partner with Product, Marketing, Business Development, Client Engagement and Operations.
Required profile
- 15+ years of experience as a senior leader in the concert ecosystem (promoter, venue executive or similar).
- Existing named relationships with national and independent promoters, venue operators and artist management/agency contacts.
- Track record of carrying segment-level P&L or scaling a book of business spread across teams or segments.
- History of influencing product direction in a platform business without direct authority.
- Demonstrated success building user groups, advisory boards or industry communities.
Required skills
- Familiarity with concerts operations: dynamic pricing, presales and onsales, artist settlement and box office reconciliation, VIP/hospitality packages, fan and patron data.
- Comfortable working in transactional detail.
- Fluent at both the executive table and on the industry floor.
What we offer
- Estimated base pay of $175,000 to $200,000, with possible annual discretionary bonus and/or sales compensation.
- Medical, dental, vision, HSA, life insurance and other plans.
- Flexible paid time off (at least 10 days a year), parental leave, 20 paid holidays, 401(k) match and short/long term disability.
