Retail Store Manager - Roark, Irvine

About the role

Roark is looking for a full-time Store Manager for its Irvine location. The manager leads the entire guest experience, operations, customer flow, staff and floor inventory, treating the store as if it were their own and inspiring the floor team to deliver welcoming, helpful customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Grow revenue through sales, employee relations and operations aligned with Roark's culture and retail principles, and meet or exceed the financial plan, payroll budget and store P&L
• Manage product flow, back-of-house operations, supply needs and daily maintenance, and run seasonal floor sets and visual merchandising
• Act as product expert, coach staff on product knowledge and selling techniques
• Handle POS issues, reconcile tills, process returns, exchanges, gift cards and discounts
• Recruit, hire, train and develop staff, create schedules, resolve conflicts and perform performance check-ins
• Open and close the shop independently as keyholder
• Merchandise and restock the store, place fill orders and manage inventory
• Lead store events, promote them and run at least one unique quarterly event, seeking local brand, artist and musician collaborations

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years of retail management experience
• BA or BS degree required
• Willingness to work weekends, evenings and holidays as needed
• Self-motivated leader with entrepreneurial skills, guest-centric mindset and strong communication skills
