OluKai Retail Associate (Part-Time)

About the role

OluKai is looking for outgoing, culturally minded team members to act as the first point of contact for guests in its Lahaina store. As the Retail Associate, or Huaka'i (to lead), you welcome customers and deliver a memorable brand experience. The position is part-time, up to 19 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome customers and build immediate rapport, acting as a brand ambassador for OluKai
• Share the story behind the brand's partnerships and product design inspirations
• Know the product lines, stay current on fashion trends and recommend products that fit each customer's needs
• Solve customer problems independently while keeping a friendly, Aloha spirit, even under pressure
• Maintain visual standards and store cleanliness
• Help with back-of-house tasks such as receiving, processing product and restocking
• Use POS systems correctly for a smooth customer experience and take part in local events and community programs

Required profile

• At least 6 months of retail, hospitality or customer service experience preferred but not required
• Available for at least three shifts a week (4-8 hours)
• Available for holidays and weekends as needed
• Aged 17 or older; GED or high school diploma preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, good time management and organization
• Able to lift and move objects up to 30 lbs
