OluKai Retail Associate - Fort Lauderdale

About the role

A new OluKai store is opening in Fort Lauderdale in October 2026, and the company is looking for outgoing, culturally minded team members to be the first point of contact for guests. As a Retail Associate (Huaka'i, meaning to lead), you will welcome customers and help launch and establish the store from the ground up.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome customers and deliver a memorable brand experience
• Engage with new customers and build lasting rapport
• Share the brand's story, its partnerships and product design inspiration
• Know the product lines, stay current on fashion trends and recommend products that fit customer needs
• Solve customer problems independently while keeping a friendly, Aloha spirit
• Maintain visual standards and store cleanliness
• Help with back-of-house duties such as receiving, processing product and restocking
• Use POS systems correctly and act as a brand ambassador, taking part in local events and giving-back programs

Required profile

• Available for at least three shifts a week (4-8 hours each)
• Available for holidays and weekends as necessary
• At least 17 years old; GED or high school diploma preferred
• Minimum of 6 months of retail, hospitality or customer service experience preferred but not required
• Strong verbal and written communication, time management and organizational skills
• Able to lift or move objects up to 30 lbs
