Assistant Store Manager - OluKai Retail, Fort Lauderdale

About the role

A new OluKai retail store is set to open in Fort Lauderdale in October 2026. The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in running a modern, efficient and welcoming store, partnering with them to create the store experience and manage every aspect of operations. The ASM plays a key part in launching the store from the ground up.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Store Manager on the store financial plan, including revenue and expenses, and help plan weekly performance reviews and monthly strategy
• Foster a sales-driven culture through incentives, games and other activities to hit targets
• Identify inventory gaps, manage inventory, restock, receive and transfer products, and oversee back-of-house operations and daily store maintenance
• Create seasonal floor sets and visual merchandising displays and keep visual standards and brand image
• Train staff as product storytellers and coach them on customer needs and product knowledge
• Handle POS tasks such as daily reporting, sales, returns and exchanges, gift cards and collecting member information
• Help recruit, hire, train and develop staff, set schedules and cover gaps, resolve conflicts and run performance check-ins
• Take on store manager responsibilities when the Store Manager is absent

Required profile

• At least 2 years of retail experience, including management experience
• Willingness to work weekends, evenings and holidays as needed
• Self-motivated leader with strong entrepreneurial skills and a guest-centric, Aloha spirit
• Elevated communication skills and a creative, adaptable team player
• College degree is a plus
