OB‑GYN Hospitalist – Laborist Role

About the role

The Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest is seeking an OB‑GYN Hospitalist (Laborist) to join a multidisciplinary team of midwives, physicians, and maternal‑fetal specialists. You will provide inpatient obstetric care for a high‑volume maternity hospital supporting over 6,000 births annually.

Key responsibilities

• Provide labor and delivery coverage, collaborating with midwives, OB‑GYN physicians, and maternal‑fetal medicine specialists.
• Serve as primary teaching faculty for OB‑GYN residents and medical students.
• Participate in clinical research, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives.
• Assist with high‑risk patient management alongside maternal‑fetal medicine physicians.

Required profile

• Board‑eligible or board‑certified OB‑GYN.
• Current PA Medical License or ability to obtain one.
• Ideally 3–5 years of clinical obstetrics experience.
