Nutrition Patient Services Associate I (PRN, Night-Weekend)

About the role

AdventHealth in Overland Park, Kansas is hiring a Nutrition Patient Services Associate I on a PRN basis, working night shifts on weekends. The role helps create a positive experience for patients, visitors and team members by preparing and serving quality meals in a clean, safe and welcoming environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble hot and cold foods and beverages using standardized recipes.
• Serve and deliver meals to patients with care, accuracy and attention to dietary and safety procedures.
• Keep nursing pantries stocked, organized, sanitized and ready to support patient needs.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas, equipment and floors while following sanitation and food safety standards.
• Monitor food temperatures and sanitation logs to help ensure quality and safety.
• Work alongside a collaborative team and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Ability to read, write and speak English, with or without reasonable accommodation (required).
• Ability to produce legible handwriting or accurately document required information, with or without reasonable accommodation (required).
• Mathematical skills needed for the job, with or without reasonable accommodation (required).
• Preferred: 1+ year of position-related experience, or 1+ year of prior experience as a dietary aide, diet clerk, clerical worker or in hospital/care facility foodservice.

Required skills

• Preferred: bilingual English/Spanish.
• Preferred: knowledge of food safety and sanitation.
• Preferred: ServeSafe certification (SERV).
• Preferred: experience with a point-of-sale system and Microsoft Office Suite.

The pay range is $16.60 to $26.57.
