Vice President, Culinary

About the role

The Vice President, Culinary leads the culinary vision, strategy and execution across Experience Senior Living's portfolio of senior living communities. The role sets the standard for a hospitality-driven dining experience while keeping operations scalable, financially responsible and aligned with residents' needs. It provides strategic and functional leadership to community culinary teams and divisional culinary resources.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and lead the culinary and dining strategy, set companywide standards and drive menu, concept and service innovation
• Oversee food production, dining services, staffing, purchasing, inventory, sanitation and kitchen operations, and track food cost, labor and resident satisfaction metrics
• Help develop annual culinary budgets and improve profitability without compromising quality
• Lead menu development, recipe standards and seasonal offerings, partnering with Health & Wellness on specialized dietary needs
• Build a culinary leadership pipeline through coaching, succession planning and mentorship of Executive Chefs and Culinary Directors
• Manage food, beverage, equipment and vendor relationships, and support new developments and community openings
• Maintain food safety, sanitation and regulatory compliance standards, including audit and quality assurance processes

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, Foodservice Management, Business or a related field preferred
• 10+ years of progressive culinary, hospitality or foodservice leadership, including multi-site responsibility
• Senior living, hospitality, restaurant, resort or healthcare multi-unit experience strongly preferred
• Ability and willingness to travel regularly across the portfolio

• Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation and regulatory requirements
