Nursing Supervisor – Night Shift

About the role

The Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Nursing Supervisor for night‑shift operations at its Pocono campus. The role involves direct and indirect patient care, staff guidance, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily nursing activities, maintain compliance with regulatory bodies, and oversee patient care quality.
• Review and adjust nursing care plans, supervise on‑call duties, and conduct chart audits.
• Lead staff orientation, continuing education, and process‑improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with patient logistics for placement and act as a liaison for infection‑prevention and advisory committees.

Required profile

• Specialized Diploma in Nursing with at least 4 years of acute‑care RN experience.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in Pennsylvania.

Required skills

• Clinical data analytics for measuring processes and outcomes.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA, and patient rights.
• Cardiac arrhythmia interpretation (or successful completion of related course).
• Proficiency in medication administration competency exams.
