About the role

Provide primary and urgent medical management for gastroenterology out‑patient clinic patients, including emergency stabilization, teaching, and patient education within a collaborative team.

Key responsibilities

Deliver patient care under supervision of the Medical Director, coordinating with physicians, nurses, and discharge coordinators.
Teach residents, medical students, and staff; participate in staff development and education.
Perform patient education, discharge planning, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards.

Required profile

Current APRN license (Family or Adult/Geriatric Nurse Practitioner) or PA license with NCCPA certification.
Eligibility for prescriptive authority in the state of practice.
Reliable transportation and ability to work flexible schedules, including on‑call, weekends, and holidays.

Required skills

Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Computer proficiency for data entry, Windows‑style applications, and role‑specific software.
