Nurse Practitioner

About the role

Arkos Health, a startup that partners with primary care providers to coordinate care outside the hospital, is hiring a Nurse Practitioner in Casper, WY. The role is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and Independent Licensed Practitioner recognised by the Wyoming State Board of Nursing, providing care within the scope of practice set by state law, licensing and regulations. The schedule is Monday to Friday.

Key responsibilities

• Perform complete, accurate in-home history and physical assessments for members with acute and chronic conditions, at private residences, facilities or provider offices
• Review member records before visits and use critical thinking to interpret diagnostic studies and screening results
• Develop, implement, evaluate and adjust treatment plans and make medication recommendations
• Maintain accurate electronic health record documentation, including diagnosis codes, condition status and care plans
• Learn the Risk Adjustment Factor (RAF) and HCC models, and Quality STAR/HEDIS measures, within 30 days of hire
• Rotate telephonic on-call coverage after hours

Required profile

• Current and valid Wyoming RN license, Bachelor's degree in Nursing and Wyoming Advanced Practice Nursing license (Master's preferred)
• Board certification for Nurse Practitioners and unrestricted prescribing and dispensing privileges with DEA licensure
• At least 1 year of ambulatory or community care experience, or equivalent clinical experience with strong assessment skills
• Preferred: experience with adults and older adults, and with population health management
• Driving licence and proof of insurance required
