North Texas Water Professional Services Leader

About the role

HDR is seeking a seasoned leader to head the North Texas Water Business Group. This senior position will guide technical and business development, ensuring the delivery of high‑quality water infrastructure services across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, and improve technical competencies of Business Group staff to meet client needs.
• Oversee daily project operations, including financial performance, profitability, and management reviews.
• Supervise cross‑sector leads, ensuring critical value delivery, risk reduction, and in‑house specialty support.
• Lead quality assurance initiatives, implement QA/QC programs, and monitor project QC reviews.
• Drive continuous improvement through technical standards, procedures, best practices, and lessons learned.
• Participate in project reviews, claim management, revenue recognition meetings, and 0% reviews.
• Review hiring needs, manage requisitions, and support staffing decisions.
• Engage in pursuit teaming, fee development, and partnership with market sector and delivery leaders.
• Oversee technical and digital delivery evolution and streamline business processes in line with corporate policy.
• Champion Business Group opportunities and support inter‑group communication.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of professional experience in water or related engineering services.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational abilities.
