Non-CDL Driver – Future Opportunities in New Orleans

About the role

This position is responsible for delivering goods to customer sites in New Orleans using Encore‑owned, leased, or rented vans and box trucks under 26,001 lbs. The driver will follow set routes, verify order accuracy, and ensure safe loading and unloading while providing excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Drive Encore vehicles (vans/box trucks) with a GVWR under 26,001 lbs on assigned routes.
• Load, unload, and secure equipment to prevent damage.
• Review orders for accuracy during delivery and pickup.
• Maintain communication with dispatchers and warehouse staff.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and complete log books.
• Assist with equipment pulling, receiving, and inventory processes.
• Report vehicle issues, traffic violations, and maintenance needs promptly.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license with at least 2 years of driving experience.
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to work long hours behind the wheel.
• Strong communication skills with internal and external customers.

Required skills

• Basic computer skills.
• Proficiency with GPS and routing systems.
• General knowledge of vehicle inspection and maintenance.
• Understanding of proper load securement.
