New Graduate RN Resident – Orthopaedics (Night Shift)

About the role

Join Cleveland Clinic’s Mercy Hospital as a New Graduate RN Resident on the 5B Orthopaedic Unit. You will provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing hip, knee, spine and trauma surgeries during night shifts, while participating in a one‑year accredited Nurse Residency program.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the residency core curriculum and online modules.
• Deliver direct patient care alongside a success coach.
• Prioritize patient needs based on acuity, preference and resources.
• Identify and act on risks to patient health, documenting interventions.
• Seek supervision when needed and maintain accurate medical records.

Required profile

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN or BSN).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• New graduate RN or less than one year of RN experience.
